Our Units

The Immigration Division is made up of four Units. They include the Border Control Unit, Permit Unit, Passport Unit and Enforcement Unit.

The Enforcement and Human Trafficking Unit prosecutes Solomon Islanders and foreign nationals who breach the country’s immigration laws.

The Passport Unit is responsible for receiving and assessing applications for passports and for the issuing of new passports.

The Permit Unit issues permits and visas to foreign nationals who want to enter the Solomon Islands for longer term stays.

The Border Control Unit is responsible for monitoring Solomon Islands’ international seaports and airports.
