This function involves identifying domestic or export markets for commodities produced in the Solomon Islands.

 Apart from the promotion of new innovations, the MEPD also promotes commodities produced in the Solomon Islands at trade shows, overseas exhibitions and international trade fairs.

The Marketing Division is involved in the identification and development of rural marketing infrastructure and coordination of marketing agencies, participants and activities.

The Marketing Division is currently working on plans to liaise with relevant stakeholders to identify export opportunities for Solomon Islands’ cultural industries.
